Topeka – Tonight, Governor Sam Brownback spoke to Kansans in his State of the State address. In this address Governor Brownback proposed his plan to lower and eventually eliminate the state income tax. “We are pleased with the Governor’s steadfast commitment to lowering the tax burden for Kansans across the state,” Ashley McMillan, President, Kansans for No Income Tax said. “His plan immediately gives every working Kansan a pay raise. Especially encouraging is his proposal to lower the burden for small businesses. These...

At Kansans for No Income Tax, we can’t help but pay close attention to the two states that will stand to benefit from Boeing’s...

Tim Carpenter of the Topeka Capitol-Journal published this article last week showcasing the hypocrisy of groups opposing the elimination of Kansas’ state income tax. Ironically after questioning Gov. Sam Brownback’s plan to reduce the state income tax and grow our state, Kenny Johnston is leaving the state to take a job in Texas, one of the nine states with no income tax. Brent Wistrom of the Wichita Eagle published this article over the weekend outlining the proposed elimination of state income tax for individuals. Wistrom does a great job of telling the story of small businesses who file as individuals and end up paying the heavier load of taxes.
